Kim Young-rang majored in Fine Arts and visualizes her inner world through symbols and motifs. Motifs she’s currently focussing on are chairs, rag dolls, and children. In her work chairs symbolise authority, the rag doll represents her, while the child represents the pure ego.  She represents a change in consciousness according to composition of the work. For her, drawing is a way of expressing herself, while at the same time being a means to conceal parts of herself. It is a time for comforting and acts as a method of relieving inner stress and conflict.

회화작업 통해 상징과 모티브를 이용한 내면세계를 시각화시킨다. 현재 주요 모티브는 의자, 인형, 아이로 작업을 진행 중 이다. 의자는 권위를, 인형은 자아의 대리물, 아이는 순수한 자아를 의미하며 작품의 구성에 따라 의식의 변화를 의미한다. 나에겐 예술작업은 드러내기 이면서 동시에 은폐하는 것이며, 작업은 나를 위로하는 시간이며, 해소의 기능을 하는 것이다.
