Gallery D.A.C hosted an introductory silkscreen printing workshop led by artist Christopher Maslon.

Participants learned about the history and techniques of silkscreen and how to set up affordable home silkscreen workshops. They also produced their own silkscreens and applied them on watercolor and hanji paper as well as canvases.

Christopher Maslon has over twenty years of print-making experience. He is the recipient of a Korean art grant and a former resident of the Korean Printmaking International Residence Program. He received his BFA in printmaking from the Columbus College of Art and Design.

갤러리 D.A.C는 이번에 예술가 Christopher Maslon의 주도하에 초보용 실크스크린 인쇄 워크샵을 주최했습니다.

참가자들은 실크스크린의 역사와 기법에 대해 배웠으며, 가정에서 저가형 실크스크린 작업실을 설치하는 방식도 배웠습니다. 또한 직접 실크스크린을 만들어보았으며 수채화, 한지, 그리고 캔버스에 적용해보았습니다.

Christopher Maslon은 판화를 만든 경험이 20년 넘었습니다. 그는 한국의 예술 보조금 수혜 대상으로 선정된 바 있으며 한국판화 국제레지던시의 일원으로 지낸 적이 있습니다. 그는 콜롬버스예술지다인대학(Columbus College of Art and Design)에서 판화전공으로 BFA 학위를 받았습니다.
