Eibhlín Ní Fhallamháin’s work is heavily symbolic, drawing on Christian iconography and fairy-tales. The aggressive visual languages of advertising and religion have inspired horror and admiration in her, which she has tried to convey to you. She works in two distinctive mediums, collage and ballpoint pen. In ballpoint she explores the nature of the medium by layering and by exploiting the metallic quality of the ink. In collage she strives to create an entirely cohesive image.
