Rosalie Osborn Knaack is a native of San Antonio, Texas who has lived in Daejeon, South Korea since 2007. Rosalie graduated with a Masters in Ceramic Design at Kongju National University and works and teaches in her home studio in Okcheon. As a ceramic and mixed media artist Rosalie’s work is varied in style, technique, and meaning. Rosalie is an explorer at heart, so whether it is experiencing new parts of the world or new techniques in art, she is always open to novel influences. Rosalie’s work responds to the stimulation of life, reflecting physical, social, cultural, and emotional elements of her varied environments. Above all, Rosalie wishes for her work to be a constant touch of beauty, joy, or meaning in a person’s life. She hopes that every time someone touches a vase, picks up a cup, or looks at a piece on the wall, they feel touched by the work.
