Venus Lukic is an artist currently living in Daejeon, South Korea. She is originally from Toronto, Canada and received her B.F.A. in education at Toronto’s OCAD University, majoring in Drawing and Painting. Upon completion of her degree in 2010, Venus moved to Busan, South Korea to teach English and has maintained her artistic practice through the help of artist residency programs in Busan, Cheongju and Daejeon. Although she identifies as a painter, her work rarely resembles traditional painting styles as she uses a variety of materials and processes including audience interaction to complete her works. Venus continues to show her work in both Korea and Canada to date.

Venus Lukic은 현재 대전시에 거주하고 있는 예술가입니다. 그녀의 고향은 캐나다의 토론토로, 그곳에서 OCAD 대학을 다니며 회화학과를 전공으로 B.F.A 학위를 받았습니다. 2010년 졸업 이후 그녀는 한국의 부산으로 이사오면서 영어를 가르쳤고 부산, 청주와 대전의 예술가 레지던시 프로그램들을 통해 예술 활동을 이어갔습니다. 그녀는 스스로를 화가라고 정의하지만, 관람객과의 교류 등 다양한 소재와 과정을 작품에 사용하기 때문에 그녀의 작품들은 대게 전통적인 화풍과 거리가 먼 경우가 대부분입니다. Venus는 현재까지 한국과 캐나다에서 자신의 작품을 선보이고 있습니다.
