Lucas Kasper was born in Ionia, Michigan in 1980. Kasper works predominantly in the medium of painting, but includes printmaking into his images. Kasper completed his BFA with distinction at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI in 2004. He has been included in several group shows at the Rankin Gallery in Big Rapids, Michigan and the Box Factory in St. Joseph, Michigan. He has also had a solo show at the Smith Gallery in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Lucas’ primary focus has been the changing world around him. He uses his unique perspective to present the world as he sees it. Lucas’ aim is to depict each image in its natural state, expressing its warmth and beauty as well as the dirt and decay. Lucas has lived and worked in Daejeon, South Korea since 2005.
